Mic, camera, action.
Whether he's presenting in the studio or calling the action at a stadium, there's nothing Jack loves more than the thrill of radio broadcasting.
After all, that's how he cut his teeth in an industry that he's been part of for nearly fifteen years.
As a commentator, he's had the privilege of calling the action in some of the world's most prestigious - and unique! - sporting events, along with taking editorial responsibility for an entire region's sporting output as the Channel Islands Sport Presenter (where he worked across radio, television and online platforms).
Jack's commentaries on the World Pilot Gig Championships on the Isles of Scilly have been award-nominated, as was his coverage of Yeovil Town Ladies on their historic promotion run to WSL1 - and whether it's non-league football or international cricket matches, Jack has pretty much commentated on it all.
As a presenter, Jack has crafted a number of award-nominated shows, including a memorable stint as the presenter of The Jack Murley show on BBC Radio Somerset that was recognised at the Frank Gillard Awards, and a three-year run as a presenter at BBC Radio Cornwall that saw him cover everything from the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II to the G8 Summit in Carbis Bay. Jack is also a regular contributor to BBC Radio 5Live, BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2 and other outlets - where he's spoken about LGBTQ+ issues on programmes like Jeremy Vine, Today, Newsbeat, Sportshour and more.
'Your upbeat, positive shows had such an overwhelming impact on my mental health in lockdown. Thank you.'
'I can't remember the last time we laughed as much at a programme. You are comedy gold!'
'Having you on-air is like being with family. You're why we listen. There's nothing else quite like a Jack Murley show!'
